Located in the heart of the Promenade in Old Town Bluffton, the Bluffton Gullah Cultural Heritage Center is easy to find and surrounded by the charm of the historic district. Its central location makes it a perfect stop to explore the rich Gullah culture while enjoying the vibrant atmosphere of the Lowcountry.
When you arrive at the center, you will be greeted by our center’s staff and allowed to explore the interpretive features of the interior of the center that detail the chronological history of Bluffton’s Gullah residents and some of the culture’s most pivotal moments and accomplishments. You will also be invited to have self-guided or docent-led tour through outdoor interpretive features and exhibits of the center. The Bluffton Gullah Cultural Heritage Center is a non-profit cultural and preservation centered organization, founded in 2021. The Bluffton Gullah Heritage Center focuses on a goal of community engagement through educational programming, speaker series, and changing exhibits connected to Gullah heritage.
