The Sandbox Children’s Museum is proud to be a premiere destination for early childhood, hands-on play, and learning in the Hilton Head, Bluffton, and surrounding areas. The museum was founded in 2005 with the primary goal of educating young children through age-appropriate, interactive activities and exhibits that enable children to play freely while exploring their creativity and discovering the world around them.
Whether you have been planning your visit to The Sandbox for months or are just popping in for a spur-of-the-moment visit, your trip is sure to be a big hit! Younger visitors can sail on our shrimp boat, shop in the grocery store, or build in our block area. Don’t forget the main sandcastle exhibit with our sensory room, dress-up area, and puppet theatre. Bigger kids can create with our STEM exhibits, explore biomes in our 3D sandbox, create in our maker room, fly the jet into space or chill out in the VW Bus and read their favorite book. We also have an outside porch area with lots of fun things to do!
